I am thrilled to have been asked to be veterinary advisor to RESS.
I qualified as a veterinary surgeon from the University of Edinburgh in 2010. Very early on in my career I developed a keen interest in welfare work. Since then I have worked with most of the big welfare charities In the UK and I undertake a lot of welfare case work. This means that I spend most of my days on the front line helping to rescue equines from some of the most horrendous situations imaginable.
Although heart wrenching, I find this work extremely rewarding and it certainly makes it all worth while when these equines go out to loving homes. It is amazing to see these equines out at shows looking healthy and loved and that’s why I am so pleased to be involved with ress.
